Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez couldn't have been any cuter together at Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards -- despite rumors that their relationship is going through a rough patch.
The teen super-couple arrived separately to the big show, but Bieber, 17, couldn't keep himself from gushing about Gomez, 19, on the red carpet. Talking to MTV News, Bieber predicted: "Best performance of the night, Selena Gomez! She's gonna kill it." And speaking to Us Weekly's reporters, Bieber said he was most looking forward to Gomez's performance, "Because she's awesome!"
The lovefest continued inside the Gibson Amphitheater, where Gomez and Bieber sat side by side and were spotted -- and photographed! -- holding hands, acting silly and kissing. But the cutest moment arguably came when Gomez performed her single "Love You Like a Love Song" with her band The Scene -- and Bieber danced and sang along with untamed enthusiasm. The couple also won a ton of Teen Choice's signature surfboard awards, by the way, including Choice Male Hottie honors for Biebs and Choice Female Hottie kudos for Gomez.
So what's with those breakup rumors? Supposedly, Gomez has been worried that Bieber was hanging out with the wrong crowd -- older, edgier stars like Chris Brown and Lil Wayne (who both, not incidentally, have criminal records). But mutual friend Sean Kingston -- another friend named to be among Justin's "bad crowd" -- told People that the rumors just aren't true.
"Selena's my friend," Kingston said on the red carpet. "We're all friends."
At the end of the night, Bieber escorted Gomez out of the theater, where they kissed goodbye before going home in separate SUVs. Go ahead -- say "awww!"
