Selena Gomez returned to the stage Monday afternoon, after a short hospital stay over the weekend. Speaking to hundreds of screaming fans who crowded into Santa Monica Place, the 18-year-old singer thanked the audience and apologized for canceling her appearance on Friday.
"I want to thank you so much for coming," Justin Bieber's girlfriend said. "If you guys came on Friday, I'm so sorry that I couldn't be here. ... I love you guys very much."
Gomez headed to the hospital last Thursday night, after an appearance on The Tonight Show. At the time, reports said she was complaining of nausea and a bad headache. Gossip mongers spewed rumors that Selena could be pregnant -- which were immediately shot down.
When asked Monday about her illness, the teen star said, "I was just very malnourished, so I was low on iron and exhausted."
The "Bang Bang Bang" singer seemed to be back in tip-top shape, as she performed some of her hits and told the crowd, "I do feel better!"
Earlier in the day, Gomez reached out to her fans via Twitter and her Facebook page to let them know that she was on the mend, appreciated their support and was ready to rock at the Santa Monica show.
