The summer always leaves my refrigerator decorated with lovely notes friends send from their vacations. My favorite is a postcard from my cousin who spent a month in Florence – it makes me daydream of Prada and gelatto every time I get a glass of iced tea.
Recently, I was thinking about the idea of using postcards as art, when I serendipitously came across C.C. Creations and their beautiful decoupage pieces. My favorites are the oversized platters, hand-decorated in glossy vintage postcards that make functional and beautiful conversation starters.
I'm thinking of using one at my end-of-the-summer party. The funky, fun patterns will surely set a relaxed mood and encourage my guests to share their summer adventure stories. Perhaps I'll get inspired to take a last-minute trip of my own. Any suggestions?
