Susan and Gordon Adopt Miles

During season 17 in 1985, Gordon and his wife Susan adopted a baby boy named Miles. Sesame Street carefully explained the process of adoption, an issue once thought to be too difficult for children to understand. Miles’ arrival brought only happiness to everyone on the block — everyone except Oscar the Grouch, who (not surprisingly) was a little grouchy about the little guy's frequent crying.
