Watch This With Your Daughter Now! Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's Advice to Abby Cadabby

Even Muppets can use some career advice, and Abby Cadabby totally lucked out by learning about all the great things a girl can be from U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor in a recent Sesame Street episode. (Watch it below.)

As a mom to two young girls who, like Abby, have on several occasions announced their intention to grow up to be a princess, I couldn't help but get teary when the wise judge tells the Sesame Street gal, "Pretending to be a princess is fun, but it is definitely not a career."

So, what (sniff) does Sotomayor advise? "You can go to school and train to be a teacher, a lawyer, a doctor, an engineer and even a scientist."

After watching, my youngest declared she wants to be a teacher and my oldest wants to be a reporter -- or possibly the President of the United States ("So I can have a career like you, Mom."). (Full on sob.)

R is for role model -- and this one couldn't be better. Now, can someone spare some tissues while I put the tiaras back in the toy bin?
