Porn Videos Take Over 'Sesame Street' YouTube Page!

The show's account was shut down Sunday after its usually family-friendly content was replaced with explicit sex videos

Children and parents who went on the Sesame Street YouTube page Sunday morning found informational videos that were teaching them a different set of A, B, Cs. CNN is reporting that hackers took over the children's show's YouTube account and replaced all of its family-friendly content with explicit sex videos. Whoops!

YouTube administrators pulled down the account -- which has 148,000 followers and more than 440 million video viewings -- after about 20 minutes, and visitors were instead greeted by a message explaining that the account had been shut down "due to repeated or severe violations of our community guidelines." For the uninitiated, videos showing nudity or any sexually explicit acts are banned from YouTube.

"Our channel was compromised and we are presently working with YouTube/Google to restore our original content," Sesame Workshop, the non-profit behind Sesame Street, said in a statement. "We always strive to provide age-appropriate content for our viewers and hope to resolve this problem quickly."

YouTube also addressed the fiasco, telling CNN: "YouTube's Community Guidelines prohibit graphic content. As always, we remove inappropriate material as soon as we are made aware of it."

Apparently a message was posted on the account before it was pulled down that credited responsibility to the hack on two YouTube users. One of them, named "MrEdxwx," denied his involvement on his personal page.

"I did not hack Sesame Street. I am an honest YouTuber," he wrote. "I work hard to make quality gameplay videos, and most important I respect the community guidelines."

According to The Telegraph, MrEdxwx wrote, "Who doesn't love porn kids? Right! Everyone loves it!" Weird.
