Set the Limits

If you let your tween lose in the mall with your plastic, drill two things into her head: First, the card has one limit, you have another—and your's shall be obeyed! Second, if your budget and your limit are not respected, the overage will come out of her pocket and she’ll lose shopping privileges. Nothing drives home the importance of limits like holding your child responsible for them.
