This Is Amazing: Seth Rogen & James Franco Parody Kim Kardashian & Kanye West in "Bound 3" Video

The actors had some downtime while shooting their new film, so they re-created the infamous Kimye video, shot-for-shot

Sometimes pop culture gives you unexpected gifts. Case in point: Seth Rogen and James Franco, buddies and frequent co-stars, randomly decided that they were going to remake Kanye West's "Bound 2" video. (Yes, the one featuring a naked Kim Kardashian on a motorcycle.) The two actors copied Kanye's music video shot-for-shot and posted it on YouTube. Want to venture a guess as to who's playing Kim? Watch "Bound 3" below!

Do you need that broken down into GIFs? Yeah, we thought so.

Here's Rogen doing the Kardashian hair toss.

Franco does the Kanye hand dance.

Rogen gives sexyface. Or perhaps squintyface.

The bouncing! So much bouncing.

Or maybe you want to see the two videos side-by-side? Here you go.

"Bound 3" is pretty incredible, if only because Franco and Rogen are seriously committed to capturing the essence of Kimye. We're not quite sure what to call it, though. It's not exactly a parody; it's a faithful remake, just with Seth Rogen's back hair instead of Kim Kardashian's airbrushed torso. It's more like one of Franco's high-concept art films than something you'd see on Funny or Die.

If it's performance art, then, what's the message? The video does bring out some of the ridiculousness and misogyny of the original, since seeing Seth Rogen playing a sex object is way more jolting than seeing Kim Kardashian do it.

The actors have also proven that an exact copy of Kanye's video can be made very quickly, with only stock footage, a motorcycle, and some downtime between shooting scenes of their upcoming film The Interview. Does that take away from the experience of the original video? Does it add to it?

Or maybe they just wanted an excuse to make out. Whatever the point was intended to be, it's mesmerizing. Thanks for sharing, guys!
