VIDEO: Kristin Davis: The Idea of Soulmates 'Makes Me Want to Gag'

The Sex and the City 2 star dishes on why she's no hopeless romantic and why you won't find her singing karaoke

For the past 12 years, we've known Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt, her sweet-natured, hopelessly romantic character in Sex and the City. But in real life, the actress -- who'll hit theaters on May 27 with the rest of her BFFs in Sex and the City 2 -- isn't nearly as idealistic.

"I don't believe in soulmates," Davis, 45, tells iVillage in an exclusive interview. "In fact, I hate even just hearing those two terms together. It makes me want to gag...But Charlotte would love the term."

Offscreen, the single actress doesn't have kids of her own but loves spending time with her friends' children. "They're not your kids, but you're kind of like their aunt, and you get to see their development and it's really fun," she explains.

Watch our exclusive video interview to find out why unlike Charlotte you'll never see her on a real-life karaoke stage and why she no longer worries about having "big breasts and skinny legs."
