In 2008, Robert Downey Jr. cemented his comeback with the thinking man's superhero adventure, Iron Man. He stars as a weapons engineer, who, wounded while demonstrating his wares, creates a suit of armor that makes him pretty invincible -- and allows him to fly (when he's not busy flirting with nosy pal Pepper Potts, played by Gwyneth Paltrow). He decides to use his newfound powers for good, but his second-in-command, Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges), has other plans. The film spawned a 2010 sequel, and Downey reprised the role in the 2012 comic book funfest The Avengers. Now, he's back for a third installment! Iron Man 3 (which, once again, costars Paltrow) hits theaters May 3. But, according to Downey, this might be the last one. "Right now I don’t have a contract to do anything, and I did for the last five years," he told GQ recently. "How many genre movies can I do? How many follow-ups to a successful follow-up are actually fun?"
