Sharon Rowley

Sharon Rowley – coach for the iVillage Make This Summer Count Community Challenge- is our IVoice from Bedford Corners, NY where she is the busy mom of six children ages 11, 10, 8, 8, 6, and 6. Sharon writes daily at www.momof6.com where she attempts to answer the question that she is constantly asked… “How do you do it?”

Sharon feels that being organized and planning ahead are the keys to success when it comes to managing a large family, and that these principals can work for a family of every size! By planning ahead she mean little things like laying out the next day’s clothes the night before, and packing up lunches and backpacks the night before school, to bigger things like planning on how to pack for a family vacation.

Summer is the perfect time to let go of the busy school-year schedule and routines, and enjoy the longer days with your family. It’s a great chance to set some fun family goals (like teaching her six year old son how to tie his shoes), head out on family field trips, and spend some time cooking and crafting together too.

Every day she will be sharing tips for doing just that as part of the iVillage Make This Summer Count Community Challenge. If you haven’t done so already, sign up now, to help you set the course for the summer you've always wanted to have!
