Shia LaBeouf got into some trouble north of the border last week, when -- according to local news reports -- he was involved in a brawl at the Vancouver bar Cinema Public House. TMZ has video of the 25-year-old Transformers star, who's in Canada to film The Company You Keep, engaged in a fistfight with an unidentified attacker outside the popular watering hole. Watch below:
According to Vancouver radio station News1130, the fight started inside Cinema Public House and then proceeded out into the street, where the video picks up. LaBeouf can be seen lying on the ground being hit by a shirtless attacker. LaBeouf then gets up and attempts to chase the man, before his friends pull him away and tell him to "lay low."
"It is not clear what provoked the attack, but Shia threw the other man to the ground inside the bar," the radio report says. "Security personnel then took both parties outside, where the... man ripped off his shirt and started punching Shia."
This is not the first time LaBeouf has found himself the center of a bar fight. Earlier this year, he got into fisticuffs with a college student at a Los Angeles hot spot after the student called him a gay slur. LaBeouf's alcohol consumption also got him in trouble in 2008, when he crashed his car while reportedly driving under the influence (he ultimately wasn't charged with DUI).
This recent scuffle didn't stop LaBeouf from attaching himself to the upcoming indie A Giant, however. Variety reported Monday that the "modern day adult dramatic fairy tale" follows LaBeouf as a 20-foot-tall giant who befriends a rebellious young woman living next door. We bet nobody would pick a bar fight with that guy.
