Selena Gomez may be a rising star in her own right, but that doesn't mean she can't crush on other celebrities! And no, we're not talking about her relationship with teenage sweetheart Justin Bieber. Recently, while backstage at a television studio, Ms. Gomez was tricked into meeting Transformers: Dark of the Moon star Shia LaBeouf -- and her gushing nervousness was caught on video for all the world to see. Told that she was going to meet a fan, Gomez walked into the dressing room, got one look at LaBeouf, and squealed, "Oh my gosh!" before scurrying away.
Hearing the commotion, a laughing LaBeouf came out of his dressing room to meet the young star "Hi. Nice to meet you. How are you?" LaBeouf said sweetly. LaBeouf, who has a reputation as a bit of a bad boy, was generous and kind with his gushing young fan, even giving her an awkward hug.
Gomez, who at first apologized for bothering LaBeouf, pulled herself together enough to say, "I admire you. Very nice to meet you." After posing for a couple of photographs with Shia, Selena rushed back to her dressing room where she could freak out in private (and for her friend's video camera), fanning her face and saying, "He's so cute!"
Much giggly laughter ensued, and Gomez said, "You guys suck! You used my fans as bait!"
But her final verdict was a swooning sigh, "Oh my gosh, he's so handsome." Uh-oh. Does Biebs have some competition?
