Remember when Shia LaBeouf got naked in that Sigur Ros video? Turns out it was just a preview of things to come! For his next film, The Nymphomaniac, the Transformers actor will be doing more than showing some skin: he'll actually be having sex onscreen.
"There's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real," LaBeouf, 26, told MTV News of his next project. "Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening."
So when Shia said he was done making mainstream films, he wasn't kidding! The movie in question is being directed by Danish provocateur Lars Von Trier, known for controversial dramas like Dancer in the Dark, Dogville, Antichrist and Melancholia. LaBeouf describes working with a director like Von Trier as "a big deal."
"He's very dangerous. He's the most dangerous dude that I've ever showed up for. I'm terrified," the actor admitted. "I'm so terrified, which is why I have to go. We'll see what happens."
In fact, Shia claims there are no limits to what he'll do for Lars Von Trier.
"(I'll do) whatever's asked," he vowed to MTV News. "It's going to be a wild movie."
It could also be good practice for another role: LaBeouf is rumored to be in consideration for the sexy role of Christian in the film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey.
