Preheat and Peel

Preheat your oven to 225 degrees or as low as your oven will go. The point is not to bake the apples, but to dry them out.

Peel the apple entirely, then core it from the bottom so that the inside is empty, but the top stays intact. When dry, the stem will give the appearance of a small hat!
