There's no one quite like her. Her refusal to become a stereotype in her roles or her fashion is apparent in everything she does. With a fearless sense of style, she seems to embody both strength and sensuality comfortably. When it comes to makeup, she keeps it simple, choosing to accentuate one feature rather than looking "done up." Makeup artist Vincent Longo, the man responsible for Sigourney's glamorous Oscar-night look, shares tips on how to achieve her sexy style.
STEP 1: Before any makeup goes on, apply a foundation primer to reduce the appearance of large pores or fine lines. Using a foundation brush, apply a cream or powder foundation using even downward strokes. Blend well.
STEP 2: With a brow brush, brush the brows up to see which areas need shading. Use a small brow brush to apply a neutral brow powder. For a natural look, use light, feathery strokes.
STEP 3: Using a brown eyeliner pencil, draw a line across the top lash line and blend with a shadow brush to remove any hard edges for a soft, smoky look. Use your foundation to prime the crease of the eye only (to help your shadow last all evening). Working with an eyeshadow brush, sweep a pale pink shadow over the entire lid from the lashes to the brow. Use a moss shadow over your existing eyeliner and focus a little of this color in the outer corner of the eye. Blend well. With an eyeliner brush, line the lower lashes with the same moss shadow. Finish with two coats of black mascara on the top lashes and one on the bottom.
STEP 4: Line and fill in the lips with a red lip pencil. Blend the liner with a lip brush to create a color base that will maintain your lip color throughout the evening. Using your brush apply red lipstick.
STEP 5: Warm the cheeks using a pale pink blush. Working with a blush brush, start the color on the apple of the cheek and work up and back toward the hairline. Blend well.
