Ghost Movies: Fact or Fiction?

The Sixth Sense
This is one of my favorite films. It centers around the idea that some ghosts don’t realize they’re dead. When we do Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) work, we often approach entities as though they don’t realize they have passed away, in the hopes that it will elicit more of a response. In this case, there are some extreme moments -- like Cole (Haley Joel Osment) being attacked in the closet by a ghost -- that, though reported in our field, are extremely rare. Also, the scenarios Cole witnesses on a day-to-day basis are very disturbing and unlikely for any child to experience. But, many theories do suggest that children are more susceptible to seeing and communicating with ghosts.
