'Skyfall' (Nov. 9)

Short Story:
After James Bond (Daniel Craig) is shot on the top of a train and presumed dead, he chooses to lay low for a while. That is, until he gets word that the head of England's Secret Intelligence Service, M (Judi Dench), is in danger. In order to help M and keep the British government at bay, Bond is tasked with recovering a list of undercover NATO agents who are involved in terrorist organizations. Sounds simple, no? Also starring Javier Bardem as the newest Bond villain, Silva.

What They're Saying:
"The 23rd [Bond] entry conveys the melancholy of loss, mortality and future-shock anxiety, while at the same time leaving us plenty of space to enjoy one of the most complexly unhinged villains in Bond history." -- Entertainment Weekly

Good for Kids?
Though viewers 13 and younger might need parental supervision (the film's rating mostly warns for violence and sexuality), Common Sense Media calls Skyfall's Bond "an enduring and fascinating character."
