Yikes!: Women Shut Out of Letterman Writer’s Room



Considering David Letterman’s recent scandal involving a female employee, we’re not surprised to hear additional tales of misogyny coming out of his late-night talk show. It’s been disclosed that there are currently no women writers on The Late Show with David Letterman and only seven females in 27 years have occupied a seat at the writers’ table. We can’t possibly think of a rational excuse for the omission—there are plenty of funny ladies out there. Ask Tina Fey, Chelsea Handler, Wanda Sykes, Kristen Wiig…need we go on?
