Almond butter ain’t just for breakfast anymore. The roasted, sweet, and savory combination of flavors in this simple spread makes an unexpectedly simpatico addition to a cheese plate.
|1 cup roasted unsalted almonds||1 1/2 teaspoons smoked salt|
|2 tablespoons canola oil||1 1/2 teaspoons maple sugar|
Grind the almonds in a food processor until roughly chopped, then add the oil and continue to blend until a loose paste forms. Add the salt and sugar and pulse until just combined.
Serve with crackers or baguette slices and an assortment of cheeses.
