Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has celebrated another big mommy milestone: Her son Lorenzo's baptism.
On Sunday, the Jersey Shore star tweeted pictures from the reception, including a shot of her 7-month-old son's fancy stroller ("walkin my baby around his party in style") and a photo of his godmother, Jenni "JWoww" Farley. She also shared a photo of herself and fiance Jionni LaValle with the title "Proud Parents Today."
"Lorenzo is finally baptized!" Snooki wrote on her website. "He did so good."
It seems this latest happy event is just more proof that Snooks really has mastered this whole mommy thing. We admit, we were skeptical when she first announced she was pregnant in March 2012. It just didn't seem like her hard-partying days were over. Wasn't it only yesterday that she was knocking down shots and doing panty-less cartwheels on the boardwalk? How could this wild party girl turn out to be a caring and responsible mother?
Yet it turned out there was more to Snooki than her Jersey Shore antics. Over the past year, she has more than proved that she's surprisingly capable of change. From the moment she announced her pregnancy, she has thrown herself into motherhood with a fierce dedication -- without trying to become a totally different person.
She proudly announced she was breastfeeding, but was honest about the challenges of pumping. (And who could forget her taking breast milk shots with Jionni, Jenni and Roger?) Parenthood hasn't stopped her from re-tweeting her haters or wearing leopard-print bathing suits. And she has vowed to give her son a "normal lifestyle." Instead of a Teen Mom-style nightmare, Snooki has found balance in motherhood.
She has also settled into a healthy lifestyle and is determined to set a good example for her son. She's lost all of her pregnancy weight, and she's constantly dishing about her workout routines and healthy eating habits.
And on top of all that, it's very clear from her adoring tweets and Instagram posts that she is head-over-heels in love with her little man. (And with a face like that, who could blame her?)
So when she says she's writing a pregnancy book, there's really no need for the eye-rolling. Okay, well, maybe just a little. We can't imagine that Snooki has anything new to say about pregnancy. But obviously, she's proven us wrong before!
