GH began with stories about the life of Dr. Steve Hardy and his pal, nurse Jessie Brewer, and throughout nearly 50 years of drama from Luke and Laura and Liz (Taylor, a guest star), much of the action has continued to take place at the town's healing center (also featured in the now-defunct spin-off soap Port Charles). Heartthrobs from Rick Springfield to Scott Reeves have all spent some of their best years there.
