The Modern Family star has been flaunting a diamond engagement ring that her longtime boyfriend Nick Loeb reportedly gave her during her birthday celebrations last month, but Vergara hadn't confirmed or denied the engagement until now. In an interview with Celebuzz, Vergara says she is tying the knot with Loeb, but wedding plans are still in their very early stages.
"I haven’t started planning anything because everything has been very recent," she says. "I just planned a very big birthday -- my 40th birthday in Mexico. More than 100 people came and celebrated with me and my family, closest friends and co-workers from Modern Family."
Vergara continues, "I am kind of, you know, working a lot -- I just started the Modern Family season -- so I don’t know yet [when I will get married]. No plans."
At least the 40-year-old won't have to freeze her eggs any time soon, as she's definitely open to having a baby with her hubby-to-be!
"It’s something that maybe... one day I'll do again. I wouldn't mind," she says. "I mean, I think I can still do it. But you know, when you want to do something like that, you want to do it right, at the right moment, so I am taking it easy, so maybe when I have a little less work."
Based on what she's said in the past, Vergara and Loeb have the makings of a lasting relationship. When asked in March about why she was initially attracted to Loeb, Vergara admitted that it was because he wasn't distracted by the fact that she was a celebrity.
"The most important thing was that he was very handsome," she told People. "But he was also very funny, talking s*** to me like a normal person."
The couple has been together since 2010, though they have broken up twice during that point -- the second time as recently as May! Vergara already has a 20-year-old son, Manolo, from a previous marriage to her high school sweetheart.
