Sopa de Fideo

This soup represents home to me -- true Mexican comfort food. It was made for us as toddlers, helped to soothe us when sick and made throughout the year to stretch the family budget. Fideo pasta is infused with cilantro, onions and tomatoes to create a sopa "caldudito," (soupy, brothy) as my mom would say. This was one of the first dishes I strived to perfect and is now enjoyed by my girls with the intent to pass along a bit of my childhood. --Bonnie Rodriguez, Sweet Life Bake
