Will Spencer Pratt's latest antics land him in jail? The infamous reality star was arrested in Costa Rica on Saturday for felony possession of a firearm, on his way back to the U.S. yesterday. According to TMZ.com, Pratt was booked then released a short time later.
The former Hills star (naturally) Twittered about his experience: "Arrested in Costa Rica. If I knew the gov't was Team Jacob, I wouldve kept my mouth shut."
He later offered a bizarre explanation of the incident, claiming "as part of my spiritual cleansing I've spent the last week living alone in the jungle, reflecting on my past transgressions, and working to become a better person. I had to live off the land, and hunt to survive."
"As I departed the country this morning to continue my spiritual journey, I mistakenly brought my hunting weapons to the airport," Pratt, 27, said. "It was an honest mistake, and they sent me on my way. On an unrelated note, I'm not allowed in the country anymore -- but that's because of the chicken incident."
His arrest comes just days after he released a public apology to wife Heidi Montag, who recently filed for divorce. Pratt has been known to go to extreme measures to get any sort of media attention, so we wouldn't be shocked if he grabbed his guns and headed to the airport with the intention of getting stopped by authorities.
We've got to wonder -- just how far will he go to stay in the limelight?
