The Spice Girls might be reuniting for their biggest performance yet! The hit '90s band is rumored to be in talks to get back together for a musical appearance at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
A source tells Radar Online that Melanie Brown -- aka Scary Spice -- is pushing for the performance, which would promote the group's upcoming musical Viva Forever. "It would be an opportunity of a lifetime for the band to perform in front of a worldwide audience in front of the best athletes in their country -- well, there are no words!" the source says.
The one major holdout? Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice. No mention is made of Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) or Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), but apparently Beckham is hesitant to jump on board the reunion since she recently moved to the United States.
"Mel B and Emma Buntin are agreeable to doing it, but the holdout seems to be Victoria Beckham. She has so much going on... and she isn't agreeing to it -- yet!" the insider says.
The last time the Spice Girls performed together was almost four years ago for The Return of the Spice Girls world tour. The first stop on that tour reportedly sold out in 38 seconds, so there definitely seems to be an audience for the Girls' return. The question is: Does Posh feel the same way?
