One of our favorite summer pasttimes is kicking back on the beach with a great read. To celebrate the film release of One Day, adapted from David Nicholls' bestselling novel of the same name, and starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, we are hosting a Beach Reads Sweeps! Each week from July 18 to August 21, we will be discussing a different topic from the One Day reading guide in our Book Club message board. Comment on our weekly question, and be automatically entered into our Beach Reads Sweeps! You can enter once per day, for your chance to win the Grand Prize, which includes a Kindle, $50 Amazon gift card, and One Day Summer Beach Kit! Each week we will also choose one First Prize winner who will receive a One Day Summer Beach Kit, including a great tote bag, beach towel, the hottest nail polish colors, and more!
Our Week #3 question is:
In the film One Day, at one point in their relationship Emma realizes that Dexter has turned into someone whom she loves, but does not like. Is it possible to truly be in love with someone yet not like the person they’ve become? How could that affect the nature of your relationship? Can you still share a connection with someone even though you do not like them?
One Day stars Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. In theatres nationwide August 19. Click here to learn more.
