There may be snow outside, but, believe it or not, right now is the perfect time to scour the web for spring products. Companies use the time following the holidays to introduce new items in fresh, cheerful colors (this year, oranges, citrines and pinks are especially hot). Pantone has led the charge, declaring Honeysuckle as the 2011 color of the year; the fresh and dramatic hue is a good way to start warding off the winter blues.
So what else is trendy for spring? Interior trends usually closely follow what's happening in fashion and, with 70s glamour hitting the runways, it's got me searching for a fabulous vintage 70s wallpaper to cover my living room walls-preferably a bold floral pattern with some metallic thrown in!
Other trends: Antique-style lace and crochet accessories (lace placemats and crochet throw pillows may be in my future). Tassels have also made a huge comeback and I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing them show up on pillows, throws and curtains.
One last trend I've seen on the runways that I'm trying to bring into my home: the biker/punk look. Hmm maybe an industrial style chair in a bold color like pink?
Here are some items I've found for spring inspiration. Hope they inspire you too!
