Stacey Dash has a gorgeous figure, two beautiful kids, and has lately been spotted on the arm of Oscar winner Jamie Foxx. But nobody's life is perfect, and Dash has been carrying around a horrible secret: she says she was abused by her husband of over two years.
Dash, 44 -- best known as Alicia Silverstone's costar in 1995's Clueless (she's continued to work in film and TV for the past 15 years) -- filed for divorce in January from third husband Emmanuel Xuereb, and also filed for a restraining order.
The court document, recently made public by TMZ, contains descriptions of the two most recent incidents of abuse. During one argument, Dash says that Xuereb "punched me in the head, face and body" and "destroyed many of our household possessions." A more recent incident took place days before Dash filed for divorce; she writes that her drunken husband pinned her down, ripped off her clothes and threatened her, before she talked him down. She was able to escape, but the saddest statement of all reflects her fear of seeking help: "I was afraid to report it to the police."
Thankfully, divorce proceedings are nearing an end: the couple makes their next court appearance in June. In the meantime, we hope Dash has found a safer home for herself and her children (from previous relationships).
In other unfortunate (though far less scary) Clueless-related news, Scrubs star Donald Faison -- who played Dash's boyfriend in the Amy Heckerling film -- is reportedly now two years behind on mortgage payments on a California apartment complex he purchased in 2008, a property that's now facing foreclosure.
