Picture Party! Stage Your Favorite Movie

Movie night is fab, don't get us wrong, but wouldn't it be nice to inject a little extra shot of creativity into your celebration of all things cinematic? Instead of hosting a party to just watch a movie, you and your guests can actually recreate one of your favorite (think most quotable) films by doing a live read. Trust us, hilarity will ensue! Decide on the Chosen Ones

Make an invite list for your party—and then figure out who would be better at staging the movie (hint: other people who love the film as much as you, and most preferably those who quote it obsessively) and who would be better as a highly-appreciative audience member. When you first select your film, try to pick one with an ensemble cast, which gives more people a chance to ham it up. Assign roles to your cast members, letting some people play double or triple duty with some of the smaller parts. Find copies of the script—either posted online or ordered from a script seller—and distribute those to your “actors.” And if anyone’s being a diva, just threaten to give them the smallest trailer.
