While some stress is normal, prolonged stress can leave you mentally and physically exhausted. “Stress is a major energy drain,” says Kingsley, also author of www.kimberlykingsley.com. If stress is weighing you down, take time to deal with and minimize it. Some stress relievers: Working out, meditation, reading or hanging out with friends. Kingsley says taking a few minutes to recharge in the morning with deep breathing or journaling can help, too. “It allows us to respond calmly to situations rather than react in a way that leads to vitality-robbing stress. Stress is a result of how we respond to a situation, not the situation itself.”
