Former View cohost Star Jones is currently recovering from cardiac surgery, which was performed on Wednesday in a New York Hospital.
According to a statement from her rep, the 47-year-old's procedure was "preplanned" and was a follow-up to a previous surgery Jones had after she developed a thoracic tumor nearly 30 years ago.
"The procedure was successful and she is recovering well with her family," the statement read. "Star is grateful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers."
In August 2003 Jones had gastric bypass surgery, which led to her losing 160 pounds.
She turns 48 on March 24.
