Did they throw you a baby shower?
Did they ever! I've never seen anything like it. It was fantastic.
What foods did you crave when you were pregnant?
Chips and French onion dip, Häagen-Dazs Pralines & Cream and Popeyes chicken.
What's one mother's lifesaver you couldn't do without?
I love my Snugli '- I need my arms. Cranky baby? Stick him in the Snugli, and you can do other things while he's perfectly content hanging there. That and a bouncer '- bouncers are fantastic.
What's the best thing about motherhood?
Babies are incredible people, early on. They're already fully developed personalities, and you're learning how to respect that and learning that it changes all the time. And therefore, it's my job to change how I mother. I can't expect them to be the same all the time, and I can't be the same all the time.

What kind of reaction do you get from people?
"You look like the woman on Grey's Anatomy" '- because if they see me laughing, they aren't quite sure. They think that I'm her, so I don't seem very approachable.
Has the show changed how you view doctors?
I feel like I still don't know anything when I walk into the doctor's office, but I do ask a lot more questions. It's annoying and insulting when they don't want to give you all the details. I tell them, "I can handle it, just tell me everything. You can explain it to me." And they're like, "What do you need to know that for?" It's not because I'm playing a doctor on TV. I want to know.
