What's the most surprising thing about motherhood?
I knew that having kids would make my life so much more fulfilled, but it was surprising to learn how exactly it would be fulfilling. Motherhood definitely makes you more creative. You think, "If I can create this, I must be able to create so many other amazing things." It was also surprising that when you think you have no more room in your life for anything else, you have kids, and it all fits perfectly.
Belly-baring shirts or tunics during pregnancy?
A tunic -- belted above the belly.
Bringing baby to the beach or to the zoo?
Both! We bring our kids to the zoo in the city during the week and to the beach on weekends.
Sling or stroller?
My daughter Kit's first word was "taxi," so I'd have to say that is our preferred method of baby transportation.
Splurging on diaper bag or splurging on nursery?
The diaper bag! In fact there is a new line of Cynthia Rowley diaper bags that will come out this fall.
What's your favorite book to read to your child?
We love the classics, like Eloise. Kit loves that Eloise orders from room service. We often go out for dinner, and Kit will order the "usual," and they'll know what that is.
What's your favorite thing to do after baby's asleep for the night?
Talk to my husband because during the day it's so busy, we don't get to talk. Sometimes that's when we sneak out for date night.
Which milestone were you most psyched about?
Seeing my two girls together and playing. It was amazing when the baby turned old enough to interact and play with her sister.
