Tie a knot near the end of your first strand of ribbon or lace, and thread a needle to use for hand-sewing. (Note: Using contrast thread makes it easier to see the stitches, but you can use neutral or matching thread for your roses.) Secure the raw end of the ribbon under the knot with a few quick stitches.
