I’m feeling more comfortable with Nutrisystem this week. As long as I plan ahead, it’s easy to stick to the program. I always pack my lunch the night before work so that I’m not rushed in the morning and searching for the right foods. This weekend I was out of town and had to pack all of my meals with me. It required extra preparation, but it helped me stick to my program. Now, in addition to packing baby food, formula and snacks for Aiden, I’m packing snacks and meals for myself!
With the addition of the frozen foods, which I like much better, I can expect something tasty for all of my meals -- including desserts. Some of my favorites this week were the banana muffin for breakfast, a steak and cheese calzone for lunch, chicken alfredo with veggies for dinner and a fudge pop for dessert. They’re super yummy, and I’m not even a big chocolate fan.
I have still been drinking regular pop (or soda, as some of you may unfortunately call it, ha ha!), which obviously isn’t part of the program. However, I’ve been limiting myself to one a day, and I’ve been trying to mix half diet and half regular, as suggested by Meredith at Nutrisystem. My new weight is 175.2. I’ve only lost a little over a pound this week, but overall I have lost 7.8 pounds. Nutrisystem says that you can expect to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week, so I guess I’m on target, but after having such a good first week, I was hoping to do better. Still, I’ve been feeling good. My pants are looser, which makes me feel great! Now I can’t wait to get rid of my terrible love handles. Until I had my baby, I didn’t know what it was like to have this muffin top hang over the edge of my pants. I bought bigger pants to avoid that look, and now those pants are starting to require a belt. But I love wearing belts and I’m happy that I need them again!
