Spencer Pratt has been known to say some, uh, interesting things (for proof, check out his Twitter page), but his sister may be giving him a run for his money.
Exhibit A: Stephanie Pratt's contention that getting arrested for driving under the influence was the "biggest blessing" in her life thus far. To be fair, she also said it wasn't totally awesome.
“It was the worst thing to happen to me and, at the same time, it was the biggest blessing,” she said in a People.com interview. “I learned to not fall apart, which is something that I usually do when something goes bad in my life. I learned that it is all about temptation and that I am being tested.”
But wait, it gets better. Pratt says the best thing to come out of the arrest was that she actually didn't do anything even worse afterwards.
"This is the first time that I haven’t screwed up more after a bad thing," she said. "And I didn’t fall apart and say, ‘I hate my life, I want to die!’ It’s the first time in 23 years that I went the other way!”
Not falling apart after the accident enabled Stephanie to take on some rewarding work -- like adding her name to the list of semi-celebrities who've taken on a second career as a "handbag designer." And it seems she's also mastered the art of the mixed metaphor.
"I’ve never been happier in my life," Pratt gushed. "I’ve had problems in my past, but I would just let them turn into snowballs that turned into avalanches."
