A Star Is Hatched

North Carolina's deep-voiced country crooner Scotty McCreery really brought out the effusive side of Tyler. During his Milwaukee audition, the 17-year-old sang the Travis Tritt song "Put Some Drive in Your Country." "Well, hellfire, save matches, f--- a duck and see what hatches!" cried Tyler. Even he didn't seem to know what that meant. Later, after McCreery's rendition of Josh Turner's "Your Man," Tyler said, "Slap that baby on the ass and call me Christmas!" Again, no translation was provided.
