Let's face it: Not every doodle that your child brings home makes your (or even her) heart swell with pride. Sometimes it's just a Crayola scrawl on a piece of paper. So give the effort props by exhibiting it for a while, but then feel free to toss anything that doesn't connect emotionally, as mom of two Natalie Mines does. Mines hangs her kids' artwork up, but constantly refreshes the exhibit as new artwork comes in. But once the old stuff is taken down, she only keeps her (or her sons') favorites.
