Strengthen Your Core

The body tends to store fat differently after menopause (for example, pudge may settle in your middle), but a strong core can keep you looking lean. Exercise regimens such as Pilates strengthen the "core" muscles in the abdomen, back and pelvis, and also help to counter osteoporosis (by building bone), prevent urinary stress incontinence (by strengthening the pelvic floor) and reduce the risk of falls (by improving balance).
