Style Save: Wear a Beaded Necklace as a Bracelet

Use this quick tip to get the biggest bang out of your jewelry box

One of my favorite tricks for getting more mileage out of my accessories is to simply rethink the location of where to wear them. A necklace as a bracelet? It can be done!

What you'll need:
One extra-long necklace. I'd opt for cotton or leather cording so you'll be able to tie the ends in a knot. Not only will this ensure a snug fit, it will also avoid the impossible-to-undo tangle that is so common when it comes to more delicate, metal strands.

How to pull it off:
Simply wrap the necklace around your wrist several times (enough that it won't slip off) and tie the two ends together loosely.

What I'd buy:
This Multi-Colored Glass Bead Necklace ($55 at Becky Kelso). It's made from the aforementioned easy-to-tie cotton and the brightly colored beading adds a subtle yet stunning dose of a color.
