12 chimesTwo scoops of raisins are the reason a raisin bran cereal commits treason. One cup of a seemingly virtuous cereal contains 17 g sugar, thanks to dried fruit coated in the sweet stuff, plus high fructose corn syrup. A better option: Cheerios. You'll still get the goodness of whole grains but with less than half the sugar. Too bland? Top with a half cup of sliced strawberries for an additional 4g of sugar. But don't forget—skim milk contains sugar, too.
