Call of the Wild 3-D
RELEASE DATE: June 12
IN A NUTSHELL: A young girl (Ariel Gade) visiting Grandpa (Christopher Lloyd) in Montana rescues an injured wolf-dog and wants to bring it back home to Boston with her. A loose adaptation of the Jack London classic has Grandpa reading to her from "Call of the Wild," as he tries to teach her the truth about nature.
FOR YOU: Expect repeated watch-checking during this movie that references—rather than dramatizes—the London classic, and will repeatedly draw its moral messages in thick black crayon.
FOR THEM: Who can fault a family movie with a spunky heroine and a handsome half-dog? But, beware, city kids may find the action too hokey.
