IN A NUTSHELL: Based on Collette’s wise sensual novels, this love story between a Parisian courtesan (Michele Pfeiffer) and a colleague’s young son (Rupert Friend) in the 1920s is both very hot and profound.
FOR YOU: Not only is it great to see 51-year-old Pfeiffer look so totally beautiful in a way that rivals the great golden nudes of Botticelli, Friend is definitely a young man to fantasize about. And the costumes and set design are as rich as chocolate eclairs—and not fattening in the least.
FOR THEM: Not at all! This is why God created babysitters. Go with your husband and leave a path of rose petals to the bed for when you get back.
