IN A NUTSHELL: Pixar Entertainment returns in top form in this animated comedy about an unlikely odd couple—a cranky senior citizen (voice of Ed Asner) and a spunky young explorer (Jordan Nagai)—who go for the ride of their lives after the old man ties balloons on his roof and sets a course for South America.
FOR YOU: There are no snarky asides to parents and no blue puns sailing over the kids’ heads in this total upper. It's just a great adventure filled with poignant connections between characters young and old. And, at 89 minutes, there won’t be any need to go up the aisle for potty breaks.
FOR THEM: The 3D technology just keeps improving and, in addition to scenes of great adventures, kids will also land a bit of a geography lesson.
