Sure, it may have reached its peak in 1958, but this ditty is just as invigorating fifty-some years later. For a song about blues, it pretty much seems to have the opposite effect on listeners—and anyone forced to toil away watching the clock while summer is working its magic outside can certainly relate to Eddie’s timeless frustrations.
