Make a Grand Entrance

You have one chance to make a first impression, and your entry way should feel warm, welcoming and accessible. Is your foyer picked up? Are lights on so guests can see well? If not, Johnson suggests tossing shoes, hats, glove, etc. into bin to be hidden in a closet or off-limit bedroom. Stow mail, change and trinkets in a zip lock bag, and squire away with your boxes of clutter. Then replace burnt out bulbs (inside and out), dust off tables and decorative objects, clear away any cobwebs or dust bunny piles, and spritz the area with your favorite room scent.
