A Place for Coats? Check.

Guests need an easy, obvious, and safe place to store their things. If you'd like guests to hang their coats up in the entry way closet, be sure to have plenty of hangers and move your bulkiest outerwear to a spare bedroom. If you’d like guests to remove their shoes, provide baskets or shoe racks in the doorway for easy storage and access. And since, generally speaking, no one should be hanging out in your private space at a party, hard-core bedroom cleaning isn't a must. However, if you plan to pile jackets on your bed, be sure to give the room a once over and lock away anything too personal.
