If you're from Pittsburgh, you will have no trouble recognizing this sandwich. Piled high with tender meats and topped with French fries, vinegar-based slaw and stuffed between two slices of fluffy Italian bread, a Primanti Brothers sandwich is almost as beloved as Philadelphia's Cheese Steak. Almost.

If you really want to party like a Steeler's fan, pass the pierogies. Pittsburghers consume 11 times the pierogies of any other city. As one Steeler's fan says, "people bring vats of 'em" to tailgate parties. Another local favorite? Uncle Charley's fresh kolbassi--grilled and served with peppers.
