Ethan Zohn, who recently revealed that his cancer has returned, was able to finish the New York Marathon on Sunday for the second year in a row. Despite his cancer recurrence, Zohn -- who began training for the marathon after he and girlfriend Jenna Morasca were eliminated from The Amazing Race -- finished the 26.2 miles in 4:20:46.

The Survivor: Africa champion had told E! News last week, "I'm not gonna be able to go as fast as I would like, but I think it's about the day itself -- which is incredible."

In fact, the 37-year-old co-founder of the nonprofit HIV-education organization Grassroot Soccer, finished only four minutes shy of his 2010 time -- not bad considering his new diagnosis.

"Cancer's not going to slow me down, and it's not going to slow anyone else down," he said. "I'm going to continue to charge forward and do the things that I love."

Zohn shared that he wanted his race to send a "message of hope" to others suffering from cancer, HIV and anything else that keeps them down; he ran with a team of more than 70 colleagues, friends and fans -- including a few fellow Amazing Race contestants -- to raise funds for Grassroot Soccer.

After finishing the race, Zohn took to Twitter to thank his fans: "Everyone who was supporting me and GRS gave me the strength to finish! THANK YOU," he posted Sunday night. "I kinda love everyone right now."
